OK so Liverpool hasn’t got Rio de Janeiro’s beaches, the weather, the mountains, or those really nice chilled coconuts you get with a straw in them…. sorry I drifted off there for a minute, what was I saying? Oh yes. Liverpool may not have some of the things Rio can offer – but we do have CARNIVAL!
It’s Carnival season in Brasil and to celebrate Liverpool Samba School is pulling out all the stops with dancers, people doing scary looking fire dancing and of course, the batería ‘bringing the noise’ as it were with live Brasilian drumming… so you can dance your feet off as if you were in the sambodromo itself.
Tickets are £5, £4 NUS and £3 members (ask about membership at the door )
